May Your Every Day Be Like Navruz!
The holiday of Navruz, embodying the noble ideas of the unity of human and nature, respect for it, generosity and humanism, love and devotion to the Motherland, is the most ancient and truly national holiday of our people. This celebration, which for centuries has reflected the gracious values of the nation, kind intentions and aspirations, has been enriched with new substance in the years of our country’s independence.
That is stated in the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev designed to stremline the preparation works and organization of the national holiday this year.
Particular attention thus will be paid to the arrangement of spiritual and enlightenment activities that contribute to the deep awareness of the fact that in the days of Navruz the human being feels inseparable connection with nature, link with the native land even more fully, appreciates its generous gifts and entertains a sense of gratitude for the peaceful and prosperous days.
This year, the people of our country will celebrate Navruz for the first time during five calendar days - from 18 to 22 March. And in all corners of our homeland, national festivities will be held, like it was in ancient times when the festival was celebrated all week long.
It is quite joyful that at the moment, a new park of culture and leisure, Navruz, is being built at a rapid pace in the capital Tashkent, at the proposal of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It will become a unique facility reflecting all facets of national traditions. Here will be located pavilions dedicated to each region of the republic. Visitors will be able to touch the rich cultural legacy and arts of the Uzbek people. The park will be the main venue for folk festivities – sayils.
