In 2017, the Public Fund allocated to the subjects of the ‘third sector’ from the State Budget 12.7 billion soums for more than 260 programs and projects.
In the Address of the President of Uzbekistan, the Oliy Majlis as the most important tasks is determined by systemic study of the problems of the people, support of women who find themselves in difficult social situations, prevention of crimes and crimes among young people and women, promotion of their employment, social activities of NGOs and other civil society institutions.
To this end, at the meeting of the Parliamentary Commission, the main areas of support for programs and projects of NGOs and other civil society institutions in 2018 were considered, and 17.7 billion soums are to be allocated from the state budget. It was noted that, compared to last year, the amount of funds allocated from the state budget for programs and projects of subjects of the ‘third sector’ increased by 1.4 times.
In particular, in order to improve the conditions for the rehabilitation of the health of socially vulnerable groups of the population, especially youth with disabilities, improve the ecological culture of the population, knowledge and skills in the field of civil protection, strengthen cooperation with state bodies to maintain interethnic and interfaith consent, good-neighborly and mutually beneficial international relations placed state social orders for 3 billion soums.
In general, in 2018, it is planned to provide state financial support to 280 projects and programs that will be implemented with the participation of more than 1,000 NGOs, media and other civil society institutions.
