Provinces Boost Exports
The goods produced at the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Bahor Plastics in the Vabkent district of the Bukhara region are in great demand not only locally, but also on the foreign markets.
Competitive production of the enterprise under the brand Made in Uzbekistan is exported to Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
“Last year, we exported products for 390,000 US dollars,” said Solih Latipov, deputy director of Bahor Plastics. “Half of the exports are made by the order of our Tajik partners. This year, even more significant indicators are expected. According to the order book, we will ship products abroad for $ 1 million, including to Tajikistan - almost $ 500 thousand.”
The limited liability company Bukhoro Chaten Clean in the Bukhara district, which also produces detergents, also managed to occupy a worthy place in the market of the neighboring state. This year Tajikistan will export products for $ 120 thousand, which is 35% more than in the previous year.
Textile and other products are also exported to Tajikistan from the Bukhara region. Last year, the volume of supplies exceeded $ 445 thousand.
