Cashing in the Opportunities Properly
In the Khorezm region, meeting participants deliberated on the rational use of household plots, as well as granting tax incentives for dehkan farms and landowners, family entrepreneurs.
The event contributors noted that large-scale work is being carried out in our country to create a comfortable business environment for farmers and landowners who contribute to the welfare of the population, to support their activities in full, and to expand the cultivation of quality agricultural products.
“A significant work is being done in the region to popularize the experience of farmers who grow quality and affordable fruit and vegetable products and use their household plots rationally,” said Z. Kurbonov, head of the Khorezm regional tax department. “In meetings with villagers, they are provided with recommendations and proposals for obtaining a bank loan, improving the land reclamation state. We raise awareness of the fact that Article 291 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan is amended, according to which in the case of the failure of individuals to sow crops or landscaping on the backyard of land plots granted for individual housing construction and improvement of an apartment building, land tax is paid in the order established by the legislation, in triple size.”
In the Khiva and Koshkupyr districts, the ranks of citizens who are effectively using homestead lands and contribute not only to the family budget but also the development of the economy as a whole are expanding. More than 10 thousand households of these areas have homestead land with a total area of about 11 thousand hectares.
“At the moment we have built a greenhouse on 60 acres,” says Temur Rahimov, a resident of the mahalla Urtaep of the Koshkupyr district. “The products received in the greenhouse go not only to the home table, but also to the market. In the winter we planted spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers and bitter pepper, received a crop three times, as a result of which our income exceeded 100 million soums. Due to these funds they expanded their activities, provided jobs for more than 30 women. We employ 12 permanent and 22 seasonal workers. Heads of the regional and regional sectors often meet with us, provide practical assistance in further expanding our activities. Innovations in the tax sphere are of great importance for the rational use of a private lot, entrepreneurship.”
Detailed information was provided at the meeting on the rational use of homestead land, the establishment of multi-disciplinary entrepreneurial activities, including processing, storage, sale of finished products, and the effective use of tax incentives in this area. The participants listened to the proposals of experienced farmers, got acquainted with the process of their work.
