Con­struc­tion Works to Be Com­plete on Time

The first power unit of the Tu­rakur­gan ther­mal power plant (TPP) will be com­mis­sioned in De­cem­ber 2019. The launch of the sec­ond power unit and the en­tire sta­tion is sched­uled for March 2020. Con­struc­tion work is gaining mo­men­tum.

As the in­spec­tor of the Na­man­gan ter­ri­to­rial branch of Uz­gosen­erg­onad­zor in­spec­tion Sher­zod Kho­jiev notes, the con­struc­tion works on this im­por­tant project con­tinue at an ac­tive pace. The to­tal project cost of the sta­tion, built by the or­der of Uzbeken­ergo JSC, is about $ 1.2 bil­lion. By now, the road lead­ing to the fa­cil­ity and com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tems has been built here, along with a two-story build­ing for the ad­min­is­tra­tion, fire safety fa­cil­i­ties, a con­crete plant with a pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity of 120 cu­bic me­ters of goods per hour, as well as a num­ber of other aux­il­iary struc­tures. In ad­di­tion, fin­ish­ing works are be­ing car­ried out in the con­struc­tion of two four-storey build­ings for the em­ploy­ees of the TPP. 800 work­ers and 44 spe­cial equip­ment units were in­volved in con­struc­tion and in­stal­la­tion works.

Based on the re­sults of the ten­der for fi­nanc­ing the con­struc­tion of TPPs based on the in­vest­ment pro­gram, the con­sult­ing com­pany for the project will be pro­vided by the Ja­panese com­pany TEPSKO. With this com­pany, a con­tract was signed for more than $ 18.3 mil­lion. In ad­di­tion, the Ja­panese con­sor­tium Mit­subishi Hi­tachi Power Sys­tems won the ten­der as the main con­trac­tor. With this com­pany, a con­tract for $ 749.4 mil­lion has been con­cluded. Since Jan­uary 1, 2017, the aux­il­iary con­trac­tor - en­gi­neer­ing and tech­ni­cal spe­cial­ists of the Turk­ish com­pany Sa­lik En­erji - is ac­tively par­tic­i­pat­ing in con­struc­tion and in­stal­la­tion works.
