Offering Cuisine Master Classes
A center of master classes on national gastronomy has opened in Tashkent. It is located in the chaikhana Boghi-Eram and was created with support from the State Committee for the Development of Tourism.
At the novel venue, guests from abroad can taste dozens of popular and rare dishes of Uzbek cuisine, they can see how they are cooked at home, in mahallas, and participate in the production of meals.
The center is to host culinary master classes from recognized oshpazes and chefs of Uzbekistan on a daily basis. They also plan to revive the old half-forgotten recipes from all regions of the nation and show guests how to cook, especially those meals that are considered a pride of different corners of the country.
On the opening day of the center, representatives of the tourism industry, public and social organizations, foreign guests and journalists became participants of the marathon of gastronomic master classes and plunged into the atmosphere of the bright holiday Navruz. Everyone was able to join the preparation of the main spring dish - sumalak, the traditional folk games, enjoy a bright concert program with the participation of folklore and dance groups, celeb singers, musicians and circus performers. Maskharabozes (Uzbek clowns) and strongmen pleased with their arts, there were cockfights, contests in eloquence and other folk games.
