Of­fer­ing Cui­sine Mas­ter Classes

A cen­ter of mas­ter classes on na­tional gas­tron­omy has opened in Tashkent. It is lo­cated in the chaikhana Boghi-Eram and was cre­ated with sup­port from the State Com­mit­tee for the De­vel­op­ment of Tourism.

At the novel venue, guests from abroad can taste dozens of pop­u­lar and rare dishes of Uzbek cui­sine, they can see how they are cooked at home, in ma­hal­las, and par­tic­i­pate in the pro­duc­tion of meals.

The cen­ter is to host culi­nary mas­ter classes from rec­og­nized osh­pazes and chefs of Uzbek­istan on a daily ba­sis. They also plan to re­vive the old half-for­got­ten recipes from all re­gions of the na­tion and show guests how to cook, es­pe­cially those meals that are con­sid­ered a pride of dif­fer­ent cor­ners of the coun­try.

On the open­ing day of the cen­ter, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the tourism in­dus­try, pub­lic and so­cial or­ga­ni­za­tions, for­eign guests and jour­nal­ists be­came par­tic­i­pants of the marathon of gas­tro­nomic mas­ter classes and plunged into the at­mos­phere of the bright hol­i­day Navruz. Ev­ery­one was able to join the prepa­ra­tion of the main spring dish - sumalak, the tra­di­tional folk games, en­joy a bright con­cert pro­gram with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of folk­lore and dance groups, celeb singers, mu­si­cians and cir­cus per­form­ers. Maskharabozes (Uzbek clowns) and strong­men pleased with their arts, there were cock­fights, con­tests in elo­quence and other folk games.
