Sahibki­ran in the Mem­ory of Descen­dants

The 682nd an­niver­sary of Amir Te­mur, the great states­man and com­man­der, who made a great con­tri­bu­tion to the world de­vel­op­ment, has been widely cel­e­brated in Uzbek­istan this week.

As the tra­di­tion goes, a solemn event took place on April 9 on the al­ley named af­ter Amir Te­mur in Tashkent. Mem­bers of par­lia­ment, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of min­istries and de­part­ments, writ­ers, po­ets, sci­en­tists, stu­dents, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the diplo­matic corps ac­cred­ited in our coun­try took part in it.

Speak­ers noted that the im­age of Amir Te­mur is the per­son­i­fi­ca­tion of jus­tice, peace, pros­per­ity, he cre­ated a pow­er­ful state, left an im­por­tant the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal her­itage in mat­ters of state­hood, opened a wide path to the de­vel­op­ment of sci­ence, cul­ture, spir­i­tu­al­ity, the life path of this great per­son­al­ity serves an ex­am­ple for present gen­er­a­tions.

In the whole world, in­ter­est is grow­ing in the study of the rich her­itage of Amir Te­mur and Te­murids in the field of state­hood, sci­ence, cul­ture, and cre­ation. In our coun­try and abroad, sci­en­tific re­search is con­ducted and works on the con­tri­bu­tion of the Te­murids to the world civ­i­liza­tion are cre­ated. Th­ese works con­trib­ute to the dis­cov­ery of new facets of the per­son­al­ity of Sahibki­ran, to ob­tain­ing an even broader idea of the state he ruled and the his­tor­i­cal con­di­tions in which he con­ducted his ac­tiv­i­ties.

Spear­headed by the Pres­i­dent of our coun­try Shavkat Mirziy­oyev, large-scale re­forms, work on de­vel­op­ing the po­lit­i­cal sphere, econ­omy, sci­ence, so­cial and cul­tural sphere, strength­en­ing peace, in­tereth­nic co­op­er­a­tion, build­ing and serv­ing the in­ter­ests of the peo­ple are sig­nif­i­cant in that they are in tune with the ac­tiv­i­ties of the great Amir Te­mur.

As the his­tor­i­cal mer­its of Amir Te­mur in the field of cre­ation the con­struc­tion at his com­mand of ma­jes­tic struc­tures, palaces, madras­sahs, mosques, mau­soleums, cities, the com­pre­hen­sive de­vel­op­ment of the cap­i­tal of the state of Sa­markand, the lay­ing of large gar­dens out­side the cities, the pro­tec­tion of the de­vel­op­ment of sci­ence, cul­ture and art, the strength­en­ing of trade, eco­nomic and cul­tural ties - for gen­er­a­tions serve as a model of en­light­en­ment for gen­er­a­tions, and the ac­tiv­i­ties of the Pres­i­dent of our coun­try in th­ese ar­eas de­serve a great deal recog­ni­tion not only among our peo­ple but also all over the world.

Sahibki­ran said: “Strength is in jus­tice!” To­day, jus­tice, car­ing for the peo­ple, tol­er­ance are the pri­or­ity direc­tions of the pol­icy of the head of our state.

“The per­son­al­ity of Amir Te­mur is unique, the life and work of this man were marked by a golden epoch in the his­tory of our state­hood,” says Shokhista Ul­jaeva, doc­tor of his­tor­i­cal sciences. “Prior to in­de­pen­dence, only the mil­i­tary cam­paigns of our great an­ces­tor were uni­lat­er­ally stud­ied, and only af­ter gain­ing the sovereignty of our coun­try did a broad study of its con­tri­bu­tion to the preser­va­tion and de­vel­op­ment of the world be­gin. As the ruler who united Europe and Asia, he made a great con­tri­bu­tion to the de­vel­op­ment of trade, eco­nomic, cul­tural ties with neigh­bor­ing coun­tries, pa­tron­ized the cre­ation and sciences. In his time, all spheres de­vel­oped ac­tively. To­day, his ac­tiv­i­ties worthily con­tinue to­day’s gen­er­a­tions.”

Sim­i­lar events were also held in all re­gions of the repub­lic.

So, in the an­cient vil­lage of Khoja Il­gor in Kashkadarya re­gion, where Amir Te­mur was born, the vis­it­ing ses­sion of the In­ter­na­tional Press Club took place. Cel­e­bra­tions were held in the form of a na­tional fes­ti­val. Stage de­sign of the hand­i­craft prod­ucts, de­mon­stra­tion of folk games, folk per­for­mances, com­po­si­tion, recre­at­ing the era of Amir Te­mur, yurts made a great im­pres­sion on the au­di­ence, es­pe­cially for­eign tourists.

More than 20 thou­sand peo­ple took part in the event. The par­tic­i­pants got ac­quainted with the ex­po­si­tion re­flect­ing the life, life and arms of the army of Amir Te­mur, they had an op­por­tu­nity to taste spe­cial dishes pre­pared for sol­diers, to join the tra­di­tions and cul­ture of our peo­ple, and to watch the ath­letes' com­pe­ti­tions.

“I am in Uzbek­istan for the third time,” says tourist Ernest Fo­gal from Switzer­land. “This time I came with my wife. This trip is very in­ter­est­ing. I can­not be­lieve that on the birth­day of Amir Te­mur we were in the vil­lage, where he came to this world. Im­pressed with the hos­pi­tal­ity of the res­i­dents of Kashkadarya, and the lo­cal cui­sine was very pop­u­lar.

His­tor­i­cal events re­lated to the life of Amir Te­mur, from the time of his birth, child­hood and youth to the lib­er­a­tion of the home­land from the in­vaders, the foun­da­tions of the state, sig­nif­i­cant philo­soph­i­cal as­pects of the coun­try’s lead­er­ship were trans­ferred in the form of the­atri­cal per­for­mances.
