To a Long Journey to Seek Knowledge
On September 5, the capital city, like, though, other cities and villages of the native Uzbekistan, was simply hardly recognizable. Having just celebrated and festively marked the latest anniversary of national independence, our country seemed to grow younger – dressed children looked pleased everywhere, boys and girls with flowers in their hands. A new academic year thus began at the educational institutions of Uzbekistan. Millions of schoolchildren, students of colleges and lyceums, university students rushed to seek knowledge.
By a good long tradition, classes in all educational institutions of the country without exception started with Independence Lessons.
... At the school № 16 in Chirchik, our correspondent observed how a teacher of the first class handed over to the girls and boys, who stepped over the school threshold for the first time, the presidential gifts. One should have seen the excitement in the pure children’s eyes and joy and pride!
“I’ve been waiting so long for this lesson, I was so worried,” says the firstgrader Demir Daniyev. “And the President’s gift is just wonderful, if only I could thank our President for it.”
His mother also shared her impressions:
“We liked what we saw in the school at first sight – comfort, cleanliness, modern equipment and furniture everywhere. Especially pleasing is the benevolence of teachers, their care for children. My son later told me about the President’s gift with joy and enthusiasm. And the teachers in the first lesson explained to the children what the Motherland, independence are and how much the latter has given to every one of us.”
The first bell rang also for hundreds of thousands of first-graders. And all of them were solemnly, with the participation of the general public, presented with presidential gifts – backpacks, textbooks, school accessories.
… A long, practically endless road to knowledge , comprehension of life and its secrets, has begun its countdown.
