Uzbekneftegaz, Beicip-Franlab: Prospects of Joint Activity Discussed
Within the framework of the official visit by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France, negotiations took place on October 7 between B. Ashrafkhanov, acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, and Jean Burrus, Chairman and CEO of Beicip-Franlab.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed issues pertinent to the further consolidation of bilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of interaction, the issue of scientific support for geological exploration and studying the oil and gas potential of investment units is being considered with the possible involvement of the French side as an independent auditor and expert in a number of areas.
They include the evaluation of proposals of leading oil and gas companies for exploration and raising hydrocarbon production in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, preparation of proposals for field development projects in Uzbekistan.
Besides, important areas of joint activity are: assessment of the prospects for the work of Uzbekneftegaz JSC in conducting exploration and production of hydrocarbons abroad; preparation of reports on the reserves of deposits of Uzbekistan, as well as a package of information on investment blocks of the republic for transmission to potential foreign investors for research and others.
Possible collaboration is under consideration with Beicip Franlab in the creation of a National Oil and Gas Database (NDB), where the company intends to participate as an independent contractor for the provision of database development and training services, as well as a consultant for the commercialization of this project.
One can add that NDB is a base through which you can save and promote data on the natural resources of the country, associated, in particular, with exploration and oil production. The two main reasons why a country creates NDBs are to store exploration and production data and promote investment in the country by using them to reduce the risks associated with exploration, production and transportation.
Beicip Franlab is one of the leading companies that specialize in scientific support of geological research, independent reserves assessment, consulting in the development of oil and gas fields, solutions for optimizing the production and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as the development of appropriate software for geological and geophysical research.
The company operates in more than 100 countries and has 9 international divisions in Moscow, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Rio de Janeiro, Houston, Villahermosa, Abu Dhabi and other cities.
