Expanding Export Opportunities
The Uzbek-Russian joint venture Andijankabel in Khanabad town produces highquality copper and aluminum wires and cables of more than 4,500 types.
The joint venture, established in 2002, produces colored wires, cables for special equipment, the automotive industry, agricultural sectors, insulated and operating with a current of different voltage of the electric wire, telephone cables.
“The quality of our products fully meets the requirements of international standards,” said Dilshodbek Hasanov, deputy director general of the production plant. “At all stages of production, special attention is paid to product quality. High-quality copper and aluminum are used; polyethylene for the manufacture of cable insulation is brought from Sweden. Advanced technology from Germany, Finland, and Switzerland is applied.”
The joint venture for the first 9 months of this year produced goods for more than 272 billion soums. Almost $ 11 million worth of products were exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
The company mainly manufactures import-substituting products, part of which is sold on the domestic market. Currently, trade and dealer representative offices of the enterprise are operating in our country, in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and a number of cities in Russia.
There are all conditions for the effective work of almost 1,500 workers. Special attention is paid to their social protection and health protection.
“There are regular spiritual and educational events, various contests and sports competitions among the workers,” said Azizullo Nurillaev, chairman of the trade union committee of the enterprise. “It helps to strengthen their health, increase knowledge, skills and productivity. The trade union committee workers are sent to various resorts and medical institutions of our country. Hundreds of workers’ children rest at the enterprise’s summer recreation camp “Mashal” in Asaka district.
