Jizzakh Promotes Small Business in Rural Areas
In the Jizzakh region in 10 months of 2018, more than 1,800 subjects of small business and private entrepreneurship were formed. Almost 76% of them are located in the countryside.
According to experts, in the region, work has begun at a qualitatively new level with villagers who want to start their own businesses. More and more people come to the banks for loans who want to develop beekeeping, animal husbandry, gardening and other areas.
In addition, there is an active development of trade and services. Over the past period of the year, more than 2.8 trillion soums, or 92.2% of the retail turnover of the Jizzakh region, accounted for business entities. Representatives of small business and private entrepreneurship provided services in the amount of over 1 trillion soums, which is 68.3% of the total volume of services.
In addition, 97% of construction works in the region are made by small businesses and private entrepreneurship. Also, business entities of this category produced industrial products for 1 trillion soums.
The appearance in the villages of new subjects of production and services provides opportunities for the creation of new jobs. Currently, the share of small business and private entrepreneurship in the region in employment is 82%.
