An international media forum is due in Tashkent on December 10-11 to discuss the results of the project “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in World Collections” in 2018 and the elaboration of its “roadmap” for 2019.

It is expected that the forum will be attended by domestic and foreign scientists, representatives of government and public organizations, travel companies, cultural and art workers, heads of media structures, bloggers, and creative teams.

A press conference in the capital was devoted to this, where they spoke in detail about the program and objectives of this prestigious international event.

In particular, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan (NAEMM), emphasized that due to the large-scale reforms carried out in our country, the republic is doing a great deal to preserve and promote cultural heritage: medieval monuments are being restored, town-planning structures are being improved, archaeological and art history expeditions are being formed deeply studied the history of his native land. The project, which has no analogues in the world, is being implemented by NAEMM with the support of national and international partner organizations. It was especially noted that the project is being carried out thanks to the personal attention of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The forum, which will be held in the mediahall of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan, includes scientific and cultural parts. Surely, the participants will be interested in interesting facts about the Holy Quran, discovered by world famous scientist, doctor of historical sciences Efim Rezvan from St. Petersburg, experience of the Chairman of the Central Asia and Caucasus Institute (USA) S. Frederick Starr associated with Uzbekistan.

In addition, there will be organized events dedicated to the project of Academician E. Rtveladze “The Great Indian Way”, the project “100 well-known manuscript monuments of Uzbekistan”, the documentary film of the Russia-Culture TV channel filmed jointly with NAEMM, “Uzbekistan. The acquired revelations” and the project of the film “The Great Philosophers of Uzbekistan” by a German motion picture company.

The forum will include a scientific and practical conference on the theme “Cultural Heritage in the Modern World: Preservation and Popularization”, the opening of the permanent exhibition “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in World Collections” at the State Museum of Temurids. It is noteworthy that this forum will provide participants with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 10 albums prepared for publication this year.

According to the results of the forum, a “roadmap” of the World Society for the Study and Preservation of Culture of Uzbekistan for 2019 will be developed.

The forum will host the 10th National Festival of socially significant media products. The authors of the best works on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan will be awarded with valuable gifts. The winner of the Grand Prix of the festival awaits a grand prize – a Spark car. The best among foreign participants will be provided with a VIP tour in Uzbekistan for two persons.

Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Abduhakimov also spoke at the events of the media forum, noting the relationship of tourism development in the country and the preservation of cultural heritage. He answered in detail the numerous questions from journalists gathered at the press conference. In particular, there was a very interesting question: maybe it makes sense to announce the next, 2019, the Year of Tourism in our country? According to the deputy prime minister, this is not necessary, since in Uzbekistan, so much is being done to develop this sphere.
