The Uzbek Metallurgical Plant has launched a new factory with a production capacity of 10 thousand tons of ferro-silico manganese per year.
A new industrial facility worth $ 23.8 million was built with the participation of the South Korean company Posco Daewoo Corporation. About 6 thousand tons of products will be sent to meet the needs of the plant, one thousand tons – the needs of the country and 3 thousand tons of products will be sent for export.
“The workshop will produce over 800 tons of ferrosilicon manganese per month,” says D. Dusmatov, head of the new workshop. “This will enable not only to fully meet the requirements of the industries producing metal products, but also to reduce imports, as well as create favorable conditions for foreign exchange earnings. The project is also significant in that the most modern energy-saving technologies are used in the workshop, which drastically reduces production costs.”
With the commissioning of the new workshop, 125 young men and women who had thoroughly mastered modern technologies were immediately provided with work.
According to the information, in accordance with the program of the plant for the modernization and introduction of innovative technologies for 2018-2020, an increase in the production of rolled products by 2.3 times is planned, steel balls – by 2 times, and exports of products – by 1.9 times.
