Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uzbekistan:

“That was a very important resolution, and Egypt supported it. The existing points of contact create prerequisites for Egypt and Uzbekistan to understand the special importance of religious tolerance. There are many important points in the resolution, and education has a special role. In Uzbekistan, there are many minorities with different religions. The country has carried out many reforms in this area. I would like to note the role of the President of Uzbekistan who came up with the idea of this resolution. This comes from an understanding and awareness of the urgency of the complex problems that confront the international community as a whole.”
