A few days to the New Years Eve, festive events took place in many regions of our country where people with disabilities and people in need of social protection were provided with new homes free of charge.

The owners of new two-and threeroom modern houses with all the conveniences, built on the territory of a gathering of citizens of the village of Oktosh, Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region, are incredibly excited about such a gift.

The event organized on this occasion was attended by representatives of district hokimiyats and the People’s Reception Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the owners of new houses, their relatives and friends.

“I have seven children,” says the hostess of one of the new houses, Ulbozor Isroilova. “My husband is a disabled person of group II. We did not have the opportunity to build our own house. Glory to the Almighty that thanks to the attention given by the state, our cherished dream has come true! New housing on the eve of the New Year is a double celebration for us.”

Citizens with disabilities who have received new homes are employed by local organizations and enterprises by home-based workers, and also are involved in paid public works. Thanks to this, they now have a stable source of income for their families.
