Sin­ga­pore firm to in­stall screens in 5,000 taxis

SIN­GA­PORE — IDOOH In­ter­na­tional, a lead­ing pan-Asian in­ter­ac­tive dig­i­tal me­dia plat­form, and Viet­namese taxi op­er­a­tor Mai Linh have signed a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing to de­ploy IDOOH’s In-Ride Out-of-Home tablet screens in 5,000 taxis.

Screens will be in­stalled in 1,000 taxis in HCM City by De­cem­ber, fol­lowed by an­other 4,000 in ve­hi­cles in 50 other cities and prov­inces across the coun­try.

The fully in­ter­ac­tive 10-inch me­dia tablets will pro­vide en­ter­tain­ment, in­for­ma­tion and full e-com­merce abil­ity.

Mark Forsyth, group CEO of the Sin­ga­pore-based IDOOH, said: “Emerg­ing economies like Vieät Nam are im­por­tant for us and this part­ner­ship with Mai Linh, Vieät Nam’s largest taxi fleet, is an op­por­tu­nity for us to grow our re­gional net­work of in­ve­hi­cle screens.

“We look for­ward to work­ing with them to trans­form the in­taxi pas­sen­ger ex­pe­ri­ence and pro­vide brands with an op­por­tu­nity to reach a grow­ing mid­dle-in­come seg­ment through our in­tu­itive me­dia tech­nol­ogy.”

Mai Linh Cor­po­ra­tion is IDOOH’s third trans­port part­ner­ship in the Asia Pa­cific, fol­low­ing its tie-up with Mi­cab Philip­pines and Com­fortDelGro’s out­door ad­ver­tis­ing arm Moove Me­dia in re­cent months.

Out-of-Home ad­ver­tis­ing is now a US$29 billion mar­ket that is ex­pected to grow by 3-4 per cent a year over the next five years, ac­cord­ing to the MAGNA In­tel­li­gence and Rap­port study.

VIMF 2018 opens in Baéc Ninh

BAÉC NINH — The Viet­nam In­dus­trial and Man­u­fac­tur­ing Fair (VIMF) 2018 opened at the Kinh Baéc Cul­tural Cen­tre in the north­ern prov­ince of Baéc Ninh yes­ter­day.

More than 200 booths are ex­hib­ited at the three-day event. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of many coun­tries and ter­ri­to­ries are in at­ten­dance, in­clud­ing Sin­ga­pore, Ja­pan, South Korea, In­dia, China, Tai­wan, Thai­land, Malaysia, the US, In­done­sia, Ger­many, Aus­tralia and Vieät Nam.

Prod­ucts ex­hib­ited at the expo in­clude ma­chine tools and met­al­work­ing, weld­ing and coat­ing, au­to­mo­tive and con­tract man­u­fac­tur­ing, sheet met­al­work­ing, plas­tic man­u­fac­tur­ing, wood­work­ing and cool­ing sys­tems.

VIMF 2018 is an ideal foun­da­tion for man­u­fac­tur­ers, pro­duc­ers, in­vestors, sup­pli­ers and traders in and out­side the coun­try to pro­mote new prod­ucts; meet cus­tomers di­rectly; con­tact agents and dis­trib­u­tors; and de­velop and ex­pand the mar­ket.

This is also a chance to en­hance in­vest­ment and co­op­er­a­tion, con­tribut­ing to im­prov­ing the com­pet­i­tive­ness of en­ter­prises and in­te­grat­ing the provin­cial econ­omy more deeply and ef­fec­tively into the in­ter­na­tional econ­omy.

Along with event, there are also In­dus­trial Au­toma­tion Fi­esta 2018 and 3D Print Fi­esta 2018.
