Itinerary: Binh Lieu is about 270-280 km from Hanoi, depending on the route you choose, either Hai Phong Highway - Highway 10 - Uong Bi - Ha Long - Cam Pha - Tien Yen - Highway 18C - Binh Lieu; or Highway 5 - Highway 1 - Bac Ninh - Bac Giang - Lang Son - Highway 4B - Highway 18C Binh Lieu.

Transporta­tion: If you do not like to drive yourself, there are two buses that go straight from Hanoi to Binh Lieu: Hung Long bus and Kien Duc bus. Upon arrival in Binh Lieu, you can rent a motorbike to explore the town, conquer the patrol roads and visit border milestones. Time: In early spring, Binh Lieu has special cultural festivitie­s such as the Luc Na festival, Soong Co folk song festival, and “keep off the wind” days. From late March to early April, you can enjoy the beautiful betel flower season. Summer and autumn are an ideal time for you to see the waterfalls and green terrace fields. Winter is the harvest season with a flower festival and a new rice celebratio­n.

Accommodat­ion: You can choose to rent a guest house (whose average price of VND 300,000/night) or choose a homestay service in Song Mo and Khe Tien villages (that is less than VND 100,000/person/night).

Cuisine: There are many delicious dishes to try in Binh Lieu such as seven color sticky rice, “cooc mo” cake, “gat gu” cake, mugwort cake, vermicelli, grilled brook fish, and fried bamboo shoots.

Binh Lieu has many sights not to be missed such as Khe Van waterfall and Khe Tien waterfall. Visitors can also try hunting clouds on Cao Ly mountain or conquering the peaks of Quang Nam Chau and Cao Xiem. In addition, you can also see the beauty of terrace fields, visit anise forests and cinnamon forests or participat­e in seasonal flower festivals.
