Visa: You can use the Schengen visa to enter Norway or apply for a Norwegian visa at the VFS Visa Applicatio­n Center (offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City). VFS will receive applicatio­ns within 90 days before your intended departure date and your applicatio­n will be reviewed within approximat­ely 15 days.

Itinerary: From Vietnam, you can fly to Oslo (Norway) by Turkish Airlines, then fly to Alta by SAS to start the journey. Transport: To get to Lofoten, there are two choices most favored by tourists, flying from Oslo to one of the three airports around the archipelag­o (Svolvaer, Narvik and Leknes) and renting a car or taking a bus. Narvik is the only airport in these three options that has a direct flight from Oslo but it is the furthest from Lofoten. The other two airports are close to Lofoten but you will have to transit in Bodo. From Narvik, you can also take a bus to Lofoten.

Weather: If you choose to spend your Tet holiday in Norway, it should be noted that this is a very cold time in Northern Europe, the temperatur­e usually ranges from -10oc to -40oc. Estimated cost: If you buy a Sámi experience tour, you will have to pay 1,600 EUR for 4 days, including airport transfers, sleeping, fishing, Nothern Lights photo taking, sleeping in tents and barbecue.
