DEAR VALUED READERS,

- EDITORIAL BOARD

It’s said that “Happiness is a journey, not a destination”. Perhaps it is not a travel quote but for any avid travelers, it really has a profound meaning, especially when on a road trip.

So what is a road trip?

A road trip is a long-distance journey made with the most popular mode of transport, a car, and now maybe a motorbike as well. From the early days of automobiles, road trips quickly attracted “followers” around the world. You can easily imagine the exciting experience: they loaded into their cars not only food, drinks and clothes but also sleeping bags, tents or a bicycle.

And then, they are off!

With a road trip, you don’t get tired of a long road, you don’t need to rush to a destination. With a road trip, you can relax behind the wheel to enjoy the beauty of the road, sometimes as smooth as silk, sometimes violently bumpy, sometimes through green fields, sometimes through deep canyons... You can stop wherever you want to take photos, enjoy nature, slowly enjoy lunch outdoors, camp overnight in the forest, or make an unplanned visit to a strange little town off the beaten track.

It is impossible to describe all the wonderful things you can meet on the road and the beauty of the free and liberal life you can feel on the road. So, if you’re preparing for a road trip, you should read this issue of Travellive.
