DAK LAK PLANS TO PROTECT WILDLIFE

From October 24, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province has forbidden all civil servants, officials and employees from giving or receiving gifts that are originate from wild animals. Simultaneo­usly, Dak Lak prohibits souvenir shops, bus stations, airports, hotels and restaurant­s from displaying anything related to wildlife, especially rhino horn, elephant ivory, tiger canine teeth, etc. Any violation must be sanctioned in accordance with law.

Previously, Dak Lak banned elephant riding tours and replaced them with other services such as bathing and feeding the elephants to offer tourists new experience­s. DAK LAK (Website: vhttdldakl­ak.gov.vn)
