Ticket booking:

 There are sites such as Seat61 or Realrussia can help you find out in advance about train types and times between stations.

 Train tickets can be purchased directly from the website of the

Russian National Railway Commission (RZD). Tickets are sold in advance for the whole year and original prices are in RUB. In addition, RZD also has a mobile app for passengers to manage their accounts, allowing quick changes or refunds/cancellations.

 Every time you buy train ticket, you can buy a maximum of 8 tickets, choose a bed or compartment according to your needs, specify airconditioner or not, choose the number of beds, whether meals aare included or not, or even pets allowed on board or not.

Train service:

 On board, you can dine in the dining compartment, where European dishes and typical Russian dishes are served; or you can buy food from trolleys with a variety of bread, noodles and water.

 The trolleys sell not only food and drinks, but also coffee pots, crystal cups, glazed ceramic mugs and many unique souvenirs.

 Some trains also have a bathroom for passengers (at a price of about 3 Usd/use).
