MUSICAL “LES MISÉRABLES” ON THE VIETNAMESE STAGE

Against the struggles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the artists and direction of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB) have taken inspiration from Victor Hugo’s masterpiece to perform the beloved musical Les Misérables with the aim of calling for solidarity, love, and hope for a better future.

Les Misérables tells the tale of broken dreams, of unrequited love, of passion, of sacrifice, and ultimately, of redemption in the timeless tale of human empathy and love. The musical is performed with a professional orchestra and a team including famous Vietnamese opera singers such as Dao To Loan, Huy Duc, Bui Trang... with the participant of International Choir Hanoi Voices.
