MUST-TRY PLACES FOR SUP BOARDERS IN VIETNAM

THE CHARMING MIEN RIVER IN THE NORTHWEST

The Mien River originates from Dongma (Yunnan, China), flows into Vietnam in the Northwest of Ha Giang, through three districts of Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Vi Xuyen with a total length of about 60 km. On the tourist map of Vietnam, the Mien River is still a rather strange name to many people, although its landscape is extremely majestic.

This river has green, calm water with many winding bends. It’s surrounded by towering rocky mountains and green corn fields. This is the reason why the Mien River has become the most unique SUP place in the North.

The ideal route for SUP boarders in the Mien River can last about 18 km, starting from Bat Dai Son Bridge to Dong Ha Bridge. This is considered a charming scene for races that can create a dramatic chase and increase challenges for boarders, as well as being a poetic place for nature lovers.  Some other SUP places in the North: Nho Que River (Ha Giang), West Lake (Hanoi), Hoa Binh Lake (Hoa Binh), Ma River (Thanh Hoa), Ba Be Lake (Bac Can), and rivers and lakes in Cao Bang.

World Natural Heritage since 2013, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National

Park (Bo Trach, Quang Binh) is an ideal SUP places for boarders, whether amateurs or professionals. With all the rivers, streams, caves and mountains, you can comfortably paddle while capturing the view of the beautiful natural scenery.

To participate in SUP in Phong

Nha - Ke Bang, boarders often have two options. One is a route on the poetic and peaceful Son River - a branch of the Gianh river in Quang Binh province. The second choice for adventurers is the touring

SUP journey to explore a part of Phong Nha cave. This is the largest wet cave in the world, with a vast underground river system and thousands of stalactites of various shapes waiting for your exploration.

When paddling into Phong Nha cave, you should bring a flashlight to easily see the beautiful stalactite system inside. In addition, you should cover yourself to avoid the “attack” of many insects living in the cave.  Some other SUP places in the Central: Huong River (Hue), rivers and sea Da Nang, coasts and bays from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa...

Tuyen Lam Lake (Da Lat, Lam Dong) is about 15 km2 from the center of Da Lat city, located near the foothills of Truc Lam Zen Monastery. This place is famous for the beauty of the calm lake surrounded by pine forests and old mansions, considered by many tourists as the most romantic SUP place in Vietnam.
