Cúc Phương National Park's night tours proving extremely popular

The customer service and reception division of Cúc Phương National Park has received thousands of bookings since announcing the opening of night tours.

Starting from the experience and creativity area for children, visitors move with guides through trails to Chò Chỉ forest to witness a thousands of fireflies and learn about insects, as well as experience nightlife in the forest.

Next, visitors come to the semi-wild forest, learn about the nightlife of wild animal and ob

serve rare animals such as pangolins, striped civets, binturong, wild cats, otters, and lorises.

The tour also helps people understand forest rescue and conservati­on work in Việt Nam and learn about the animals.

Phạm Kiên Cường, director of the Centre for Environmen­tal Education and Services of Cúc Phương National Park, said the tours helps visitors understand more about the environmen­t, nature and wild life, as well as understand animals rescue and conservati­onal work.

To ensure that the tour has no

impact on the natural habitat, it is only open to about 100 visitors per session.

"Visitors are only allowed to visit the semi-wild forest and edge area of the forest in a circle, not entering the core area," Cường added.

Tours run from 6pm to 10pm, every day of the week and last around 90 minutes.

The fee for the night tour is VNĐ100,000 (US$4) for adults and VNĐ50,000 for children and visitors should take long clothes, as well as mosquito and insect repellent.

Cúc Phương National Park, establishe­d in 1962 as the first national park in Việt Nam, covers 22,000 hectares of land and is known for its exceptiona­l biodiversi­ty and stunning landscapes.

Located in the three provinces of Ninh Bình, Hòa Bình and Thanh Hóa, the park is home to numerous rare and endangered species, making it a valuable ecological treasure in Asia.

Its dense forests house over 2,000 plant species and 300 types of birds, making it a popular destinatio­n for nature enthusiast­s and researcher­s alike.

Cúc Phương has been honoured as Asia’s Leading National Park for the fifth consecutiv­e year by World Travel Award. It attracts over 10,000 visitors annually, many of whom are internatio­nal tourists.
