VIETNAM AIRLINES & SON LA PROVINCE TEAM UP

Vietnam Airlines and the Son La Provincial People’s Committee in Vietnam’s north have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the 2024-2028 period. The two sides commit to cooperating in promoting local destinations and products in Son La, and at the same time will coordinate in the research and creation of tourism offerings and attractions, thereby creating new momentum for the province’s tourism industry, promoting its potential and advantages, and meeting integration and development requirements. Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vietnam Airlines, said Son La province is located in a strategic position in Vietnam’s northwest region, with important natural, economic, social, and security and defense significance. Beyond possessing a favorable location, Son La also boasts potential for developing tourism and green agriculture and has plenty of space for economic growth. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Deputy Chairman of the Son La Provincial People’s Committee, said Son La is strengthening its tourism promotions in a focused and key direction, promoting the application of advanced technology and boosting the growth of international and domestic tourists in both number and quality.
