“And this calls for all wellmeanin­g Zambians to help correct the message and clean up the negative impression created by some people across the borders,” he said.

Prophet Kambita said the lies had created a negative impression in the minds of foreigners that Zambia was sliding into civil strife and that safety levels had been compromise­d.

This, he said, was very bad for tourism and other investment opportunit­ies.

He explained that every Zambian should be patriotic in all their activities especially to help build the country’s image for the future instead of destroying the foundation on which the children’s future is anchored. Prophet Kambita was in the country to check on his new investment­s in an emerald mine in Lufwanyama on the Copperbelt where he has partnered with a local mine.

He said he chose to bring his money to Zambia because of the country’s peace and tranquilit­y and appealed for positive informatio­n on the prevailing state of affairs to be channeled to the internatio­nal community. The clergyman has since called on all Zambians and friends of Zambia to help correct the negative image that had been created about the country to help propel its potential as a preferred investment destinatio­n globally.
