And Wusakile Member of Parliament Pavuma Kalobo said government’s desire was to improve the conditions for effective teaching and learning by providing school requisites for all pupils.

Mr Kalobo said in the proposed 2018 national Budget Finance Minister Felix Mutati has allocated K11.6 billion to education and skill development to facilitate infrastructure, student loans and teachers’ recruitment.

Mr Mwitumwa said the law take its course to resolve the issue of false documents.

Mr Mwitumwa said the union was not going to tolerate teachers who got involved in exam malpractice, have relationships with their pupils and conduct themselves in a manner that would put the Ministry of Education in ridicule.

“As we commemorate this day we are reminded of the challenges we face like issues of emoluments and others.

“Let me talk about the issue of professionalism and the recent development of teachers found with fake qualification as a union we want the issues to be dealt be with administratively,” he said.
