20 volleyball teams line-up for national championship
ZAMBIA Volleyball Association (ZAVA) has applauded the high turn of teams competing in the 2017 senior national volleyball championship which kicked of yesterday Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in Lusaka. Association general secretary Cheelo Mwanachingwala said teams had been drawn from across Zambia and were vying for honours in the tournament. In an interview yesterday Mwanachingwala said tournament has never recorded such a turn out in years. “We have 10 men and 10 women teams from across Zambia competing in this important tournament. I believe this tournament will bring out the positive attitude and raise competition among clubs,” he said. He encouraged all participating teams to put in the best and stand out fearlessly for a thrilling event. Participating teams are Chalube, Green Buffaloes, Nkwazi, Kapiri Hotspurs, Monze Swallows, Nkwazi, Kwame Nkrumah, Flight Spikers, Unza, Green Eagles, Indeni, Kamwala Magic, Super Select, Kasama and Nakonde. The three day tournament which started yesterday closes tomorrow.
