South MPs still in campaign mode

MEMBERS of Parliament (MPs) in Southern province are enemies of development and progress, people in the province should see them for who they really are, PF Southern province information and publicity secretary, Trymore Mwenda has charged.

And Mr Mwenda has hailed President Edgar Lungu for his undoubted commitment to transform people's lives by pushing productive engagement as opposed to politicking which he said would not put food on the table.

He confirmed in a statement that MPs in Southern province, like President Lungu had noted, were still in a campaign mode.

Mr Mwenda pointed out that their lazier- faire attitude had resulted in failure to deliver development to the people whom they claimed to represent.

He called on the people of Southern Province to see their MPs for who they were, enemies of development and progress.

Mr Mwenda said that it was high time the people of Southern province took a different approach if their province was to be restored.

“Like the President noted you cannot be in the campaign mode from one election to the other this will result in failure to deliver development to the people whom you claim to represent and unfortunately this is what is happening in Southern Province among the opposition,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Mwenda commended President Lungu for his continued resolve to broaden programmes which would benefit respective regions in the country.
