Remain steadfast, HH tells members
WE are so close to be there so remain steadfast, the wind is blowing. It has happened for Zimbabwe, will also happen to Zambia, United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has said.
Speaking to a group of people that welcomed him at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport the party’s card renewal exercise slated for the Kitwe showgrounds, Hichilema charged that the revolution had started.
Mr. Hichilema said democracy was coming to Zambia and that it was the desire of his party to see to it that there was regime change.
"Look at what has happened to Zimbabwe. The Wind is blowing. There were being governed under dictatorship but regime changed, so will it happen in Zambia. Tulefwaya ubuteko ubwamano. So let's work together and get to the grass roots," he said.
Mr. Hichilema asked his party members in the province to remain united.
"We are so close. We will be there very soon. The wind is blowing. Look at Zimbabwe, it has happened and next is Zambia. Democracy is coming to Zambia. UPND wants a regime change.
“PF are the ones making us suffer. Women are suffering. No jobs for the youths because of these criminals. They want us to lose focus on our party agenda," he said.
He said the PF has now specialised in harassing and intimidating citizens.
Mr. Hichilema has advised to continue to mobilising the party.
Hichilema was accompanied by his vice Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
