BA CHARLES MILUPI, PLEASE GIVE US A BREAK
Dear Editor, ADMITTEDLY you are one of Zambia’s big political standup comedians and no one should blame you for that.
But to tell President Lungu to step aside as if you can replace him even if he did not stand in 2021, it is end of the year big joke.
Politically bo Milupi you are totally a dark horse because even if you tried to contest the presidential race you would actually be lucky even to lose.
I know you as an astute and intelligent businessman but if now you are failing to interpret President Lungu’s terms of office constitutionally, that deforms my heart and I somehow begin to laugh at your ignorance.
With this lack of maturity in our major opposition political parties who have undesirably failed to provide the necessary checks and balances to the government in power, President Lungu has no opposition to talk about.
For me, it is not about Lungu stepping aside bo Milupi, it is about what you can offer as an alternative to PF rule.
These non-issue politics are the curse of our opposition leaders in Zambia and that is the reason they have failed to attract or inspire many of us who now feel it is better to deal with the devil you know than the angels you have no idea of.
People like you Mr Milupi and Hakainde Hichilema (HH) of the UPND will be sulking for the rest of your lives as you continue to chase wind.
And in any case the matter of President Lungu’s candidacy is already before the ConCourt, so rest your spleen although I know you cannot imagine the prospects of meeting President Lungu in the presidential race again.
You are simply no match to him, this you know just too well. Ideen Sakala, Chawama
