CITY of Lusaka Football Club members have questioned the authenticity of the lease agreement signed with the Woodlands Stadium developer Forli Limited in 2014.
They have since petitioned the club executive committee to relook at the papers and confirm their validity at the January non-elective annual general meeting.
Forli Company director Diego Casili owns 58 percent shares in City while the community has 42 percent.
The lease agreement entails the refurbishment of the Stadium and construction of the David Lewanika Shopping Complex by Forli .
Speaking in an interview yesterday, Club general secretary Christopher Chilongo confirmed receipt of the petition from the members laid by its chairman Kebby Chilupe.
He said the members want a clear explanation why the Vodafone sponsorship deal of K90, 000 was signed with Forli and not the club (City Fc).
He also said they wanted to know what Vodafone will specifically be sponsoring or the beneficiaries.
Chilongo said the members felt an evaluation should have been carried out before Forli erased the old club house. They have asked the executive committee to take full control of the running of the club and not let Casili cearlaltlheeleschtoiotsn.

Meanwhile, football administrator Jairous Siame said the league was a success considering the level of competitiveness which saw it go down to the wire.
“We have seen a lot of foreign players coming to play in our league which is an indication that our league has developed, so lucrative and attractive. The increase in the number of live matches televised by Supersport immensely contributed to the success,” Siame said.
