Mr. Kayanda said MISA Zambia would remember Mr. Katongo for his boundless passion for professionalism and excellence in media practice.

“We therefore stand with the Zambia Daily Mail, Daily Nation and Mr. Katongo’s family in this trying moment as we mourn the veteran journalist. His spirit of media perseverance, novelty and excellence lives on,” Mr. Kayanda.

He said Mr. Katongo, who died in the early hours of Tuesday at Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital, will be remembered for his lively contribution to the media industry.

“MISA Zambia wishes his family and the media God’s comfort during this trying moment,” he said.
