Contractor hacked Lands Ministry- ACC
INVESTIGATIONS by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) have revealed glaring tampering and altering of information on the Ministry of Lands saver by a company contracted to design and develop a Land Management Database.
ACC public relations manager, Timothy Moono said they had been investigating cases of suspected fraud and corruption at the Ministry of Lands.
Mr Moono pointed out that the cases involved officials of a company contracted by the Ministry to design and develop a Land Management Database.
Mr Moono said at a press briefing that investigations had been concluded and have revealed glaring tampering and altering of information on the system.
He however said that the ACC was still contemplating on the next course of action to take against the erring officials.
“The ACC has also been investigating cases of suspected fraud and corruption at the Ministry of Lands involving officials of a company contracted by the Ministry to design and develop a Land Management Database. Investigations have been concluded and have revealed glaring tampering and altering of information on the system,” said Mr Moono.
Meanwhile, Mr Moono said that ACC had also found United Progressive People (UPP) leader, Saviour Chishimba with a case to answer.
He said that the ACC had instituted investigations into allegations of mismanagement of funds at the National Youth Development Council involving the UPP leader.
Mr Moono said that the investigations had been concluded and that the case had been submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for consent to prosecute.
