UPPZ starts campaigns on land empowerment policy

-

By SANDRA MACHIMA THE United, Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) has taken a country wide campaign to sale its implemented land empowerment policy aimed at ensuring that all Zambians had ownership to land.

UPPZ leader Charles Chanda said he has embarked on a countrywide empowerment programme to identify capable leaders to start preparing for 2021 elections.

Mr Chanda noted that most of the political parties were busy fighting each other at the expense of developing the country.

He said by doing so would help to show the voters what the party could offer once elected into office.

Mr Chanda said UPPZ has taken a country wide campaign to sale its implemented land empowerment policy aimed at ensuring that all Zambians had ownership to land.

He disclosed to the Daily Nation that his party has started the process of identifying and adopting members of Parliament and other party officials to mobilise the party in all the provinces.

He said the programme was gaining momentum on grounds that the majority of the Zambian people were directly benefiting from it.

“We need to put into action what we are talking about and our party is gaining momentum because the Zambian people can see the benefit in our land policy empowerment project that is aimed at ensuring all Zambians had access to land.

We cannot have a situation whereby politicians have wasted much time in politics of vengeance, when our people dearly need our attention,” he said.

Mr Chanda said the party was selling its manifesto to the public through its implemented programs, among them, the youth empowerment projects as well as the land policies that ensured all Zambians had access to affordable land.
