Emmanuel and the Divine Worshippers born
ZAMBIA has given birth to a new gospel musical outfit called Emmanuel & the Divine Worshippers in response to the increasing need to inculcate a spirit of ardent and truthful search for Christ.
The live performing interdenominational ensemble has a membership of at least 10 ministering and seasoned artistes.
Mwaba Mubemba, the band manager said his outfit is born out of charity and the passion for a reformed appreciation of God’s authority governed by faith.
“We trust and believe in the Lord and since inception we wanted to share the good news on true love sourced from a fountain of absolute faith and unwavering commitment towards true discipleship, in such times when people are slowly losing it to the desire of the world.
Disheartened by the commercialisation of gospel in the country, Mr. Mubemba said, the band is highly inspired to preach and minister to those who hardly find the chance to – be ushered into spiritual realms, due to circumstances.
“It is our desire to help bring the message of salvation to ensure it reaches deserving people. Music provides a spiritual connection, and at the same time provides for us a ministering platform.
“We found it liberal to reach out to communities in need of Christ through a musical ministering model because it provides entertaining and edifies a people at the same time,” explained Mr. Mubemba.
“We are indebted help directed the nation to the cross, as a Christian nation we need to be an example to other countries.
“As Emmanuel & the Divine Worshippers we are dedicating our income and time as tithe to empower those that hunger for the word to benefit others,” said Mr. Mubemba.
The band is focusing its energies towards promoting its debut 10-track musical catalogue, titled Twaimba Hosana. The inspired collection is receiving fair air play on most local radio stations including Ama, Joy and Hone Fm.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Mwanza, the band leader further said as Emmanuel & the Divine Worshipers, understands that music is a magnate that can draw people and bringing them together for a purpose.
“We strive to use our spiritual gift and appreciate God with as many people we can reach out to, for praise worship as a family.
“Music is like a magnate, it draws people together.
“That way, when we fellowship as men we are confident that God hears our prayer. And speaking from experience and people’s testimonies we have achieved what we intended to achieve,” Mr. Mwanza explained.
Emmanuel & the Divine Worshippers, is making waves on the music scene, it’s most astounding moment was when the band made a historical shadow launch of its sizzling album during the 2017/2018 cross over attracting more than 10 000 believers in its infancy for a praise and worship moment that was held at Bread of Life Church at Blessing Centre Complex in capital Lusaka, where they left the audience spell bound.
On their newly released musical catalogue, Emmanuel & the Divine Worshippers, are armoured to reach-out to the world with a list of carefully selected quotable gospel melodies such as Sumina Yesu, Yahweh, You Have Blessed Me and Nimwe NKalasumbula among other songs.
