Lightweight NDC nothing – Kitwe PF

- By KELVIN SIABANA

WE are not shaken by paper weight opposition political parties like the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Patriotic Front (PF) in Kitwe has charged.

In an interview, PF Kitwe district youth chairperson Kaboba Mukuzo said some former ruling party members who had defected to the NDC or other opposition political parties were non-factors because they did not contribute to the PF’s growth in any way. Mr Mukuzo said such former members, who had gone on rampage discrediting the PF, were just making unnecessary noise to gain cheap political mileage. He said the PF structures in Kitwe were still intact and all members in the district and beyond still pledged total loyalty to President Lungu. “Whether or not some opposition leaders recognise President Lungu, they are nothing. They are just wasting their time because President Lungu is the President for all Zambians and he is internationally recognised as the Head of State for the sovereign Republic of Zambia,” Mr. Mukuzo said. He said those leaving the PF for other political parties were the ones sowing seeds of division in the party. Mr Mukuzo said it was normal for any organisation or political party, anywhere in the world, to face in-house challenges. He said if the opposition NDC had nothing positive to talk about Zambia’s political landscape, it was better for them to keep quiet instead of misleading the public with lies. He said the PF had no time to argue with failures such as the NDC members and their leadership, which comprised power hungry individuals. Mr Mukuzo claimed that the NDC was a bunch of political clowns and crooks who only wanted to reap where they did not sow. He said since the PF came into power in 2011, it had implemented visible developmental projects in different parts of the country because the ruling party was interested in enhancing people’s living standards. Efforts to get a comment from NDC national youth chairperson Charles Kabwita proved futile as his mobile phone was unreachable.
