‘’We have sourced for some funds to establish a water treatment plant in the district so that our people can have access to clean and safe drinking water,’’ Mr Munyompe said.
He said people have been depending on ground water, a situation he noted was resulting into the outbreak of water borne diseases.
‘’Apart from that we have taken this deliberate move in advance in an event that Mufumbwe is declared a provincial headquarters as agreed by our traditional leaders during the last provincial chief’s ‘indaba’,’’ he said.
