Kaunda warns Nkwazi players

-

By SPORTS REPORTER NKWAZI FC coach, Chris Kaunda, has cautioned his players to remain focused after beating Nchanga Rangers 1-0, thanks to Steward Chikandiwa’s 11th minute strike in a week ten fixture at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.

Speaking in a post-match interview after Nkwazi maintained their winning streak following last week’s victory over Power Dynamos, Kaunda said he was not comfortable with the way his players played despite having beaten Rangers.

Kaunda noted that there was need for his players to improve on their attitude towards opponents as there was a lot of games to be played in the league.

“I’m not comfortable with the win and we will continue building on the attitude which is not good, this team has been losing and now we are winning.

“Some players feel they have won the league so we need to change their attitude.

”We could have scored a lot of goals but I understand they are kids who are learning.

“My target is to build a team, we need to bring cohesion in the team that’s the most important thing. We are not under pressure because we know the level we are at,” Kaunda said.

Meanwhile Nchanga Rangers coach Evans Sakala, expressed disappointment with the performance of his squad in the 1-0 defeat to Nkwazi.

“The boys did not play to instructions they made Nkwazi to look a better team they had a bad attitude towards the game. No one looked like they wanted to play. Rangers will seek to bounce back from their defeat to Nkwazi when they visit Arthur Davies Stadium for a date with Power Dynamos while Nkwazi will visit southern province to take on Green Eagles.
