Tame your wayward children`

-

By NATION REPORTER RACE-COURSE ward Councillor Michael Mbulo in Kitwe has advised parents whose children are involved in notorious gangs to tame them before they face the wrath of the law.

Mr Mbulo said government would deal firmly with the notorious gangs terrorizing people in the ward and so those parents should tame their wayward children.

The councillor said in an interview yesterday that he was saddened that there had been an increase in youth gangs in Race Course calling themselves different names like Boko Haram, Katondo, Tokota, sons of the devil and 100 metres.

"So for me, as ward councillor, I would like to give a timely warning to parents whose children are involved in these notorious gangs of youth terrorizing people in the area to tame their children or else the consequences may not be so pleasant.

"Last time, a number of youths were picked up by the police and their parents came crying at the home, but now I am warning them that I will not listen to their cries because it is too much.

"They will not achieve or benefit anything from terrorizing people. The only reward they will get will be a jail sentence. So they should repent before they face the wrath of the law," he said.

He said there were a number of interventions that authorities in Kitwe had introduced and soon, the gangs would be wiped out.
