Stop the nonsense, Mulongoti told

- By NATION REPORTER PEOPLE’S

Party president Mike Mulongoti must shut up and stop nonsensical debates, says Citizens Democratic Party president Robert Mwanza.

Mr Mwanza said Mr Mulongoti had become irrelevant and was making a living by championing President Lungu’s citizenship issue.

Reacting to Mr Mulongoti’s statement on Pan African Radio that he did not say President Lungu was a Malawian, Mr Mwanza said it was shocking that Mr Mulongoti had decided to be deceitful.

Mr Mwanza told the Daily Nation that Mr Mulongoti was not being honest and was now wasting Zambians’ time as he seemed not to have any agenda but was making a living from castigating innocent people.

He said Mr Mulongoti had nothing better to do and resorted to making empty allegations.

Mr Mwanza said it was obvious that Mr Mulongoti was somehow being paid to continue with his baseless allegations.

“We are tired of Mr Mulongoti’s baseless allegations, and it is time he just shuts up and finds something to do unlike going around spreading falsehoods,” he said.

Mr Mwanza said Mr Mulongoti should stop the madness and join another political party if he desired to be recognised on the political scene.

He said Mr Mulongoti was seeking public attention and Zambians should just ignore him as the issue of President Lungu’s nationality had already been exhausted.

Mr Mwanza said it was childish for Mr Mulongoti to refer to past probes on the nationality of the country’s Presidents to justify his baseless allegations against President Lungu.

“It is very difficult to understand Mr Mulongoti, how can he justify his allegations against President Lungu by saying all past Presidents were probed? A normal person should assess circumstances in which to make certain assumptions,” he said.
