Given Lubinda accuses HH of lying about the road side meeting
JUSTICE Minister Given Lubinda has accused UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema of misrepresenting the content of their roadside meeting and has asked him to withdraw it from his post on the Facebook page. Mr Hichilema purported that he had a roadside meeting at a filling station along Kasama road with Mr Lubinda at which some aspects of dialogue had been reached.
In a letter sent to Mr Hichilema yesterday, Mr Lubinda refuted having any conclusive meeting with Mr Hichilema and his Vice Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
The Minister particularly took offence to the statement in which Mr Hichilema stressed for the need of dialogue to be led by the Church and not by
those with partisan interest.
He said the statement posted on Mr Hichilema’s Facebook page was a total fabrication and misrepresentation of facts.
Mr Lubinda said it did not appear to him that the meeting with Mr Hichilema at a filling station coincidentally would be misconstrued to mean they held a meeting.
He has asked Mr Hichilema to correct facts unless the misrepresentation of the facts were deliberate against him to create an impression that the meeting was planned without following government procedure. He has since called on Mr Hichilema to reproduce the unedited version of the recording of their entire conversation not only to aspects that he has conveniently, misconstrued to suit his political agenda.
