Latest trends in industry vital for growth
INDUSTRY players should stay up-to-date with latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in order to positively contribute to sustainable economic growth, says, Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show Society (CACSS) chairman London Mwafulilwa.
Mr Mwafulilwa said the Zambian industry should remain informed about latest developments and the increasing drive towards environmentally sustainable economic growth, underpinning great innovations.
He said this in a statement in Kitwe issued to the Daily Nation. CACSS would be hosting Zambia’s premier Copperbelt Agricultural, Mining and Industrial Trade Expo (CAMINEX) in Kitwe from June 5-7, this year.
Mr Mwafulilwa urged Zambian firms to take advantage of the event at the show grounds to showcase their latest products, machinery, technologies and services.
He said the trade visitors would have an opportunity to network with industry professionals, get advice from technical experts, view machinery demonstrations and benefit from knowledge and skills shared at the daily business seminars.
This is year’s show would be held under the theme “Repositioning for Environmentally Sustainable Economic Growth - supports this drive.”
Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development will be discussing the outlook for development in the Zambian mineral market for the period 2018 to 2025, as well as the promotion of economic diversification.
Mr Mwafulilwa said this year’s event is supported by the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development, the Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of /ivestock and the =ambia Chamber of Mines.
The rest are the Department of Trade and Industry South Africa and the Kitwe District Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
CAMINEX is organised by CACSS together with Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, known for its highly successful Electra Mining Africa exhibition which has a strong 46-year heritage.
