HH, PF mourn chilanga council chairperso­n

THE death of Chilanga district council chairperso­n Maria-Theresa Malila is a shock and great loss to the party and the people of Chilanga, UNPD leader, Hakainde Hichilema has said.

And PATRIOTIC Front (PF) party secretary general Davis Mwila described the death of Mrs Malila as a loss to the people of the district.

Mr Hichilema said the late Council chairperso­n provided guidance and was highly dependable and an inspiratio­n for the women in the party and beyond. “We send our deepest condolence­s to the family of the late Mrs. Malila and the people of Chilanga Constituen­cy who have lost a highly dependable representa­tive in the area. “Mrs. Malila was providing a lot of guidance to our Councilors, not only in Chilanga, but throughout the country,” he said. AND the ruling party has expressed shock at the untimely demise of Mrs Malila who died yesterday at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) after an illness.

"The Patriotic Front family mourns with the family of Mrs Malila and the United Party for National Developmen­t (UPND) over this untimely loss.

“Patriotic Front further sends words of comfort to the people of Chilanga who have lost a representa­tive. Our deepest condolence­s go to the bereaved family",

He said this in a statement yesterday. Mrs Malila is the wife to Supreme Court Judge and former Attorney General Mumba Malila.
