PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary-General Davies Mwila has been sued by PF Vice-Secretary for Kapwepwe Ward 25 in Matero Constituency, Christopher Mumbi and Ward chairman Charles Kabwe who are seeking a declaration that the intra-party elections held in the ward last month are null and void. In their action, Mr Mumbi and Mr Kabwe claim that they had greatly been disadvantaged as there was no transparency and fairness in the said elections. They want an order of interim injunction restraining Mr Mwila either by himself or through his agents from performing Kapwepwe Ward 25 functions until final determination of the matter. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court, the duo say on September 29, PF held intra-party elections for various executive positions in relation to Kapwepwe Ward 25 and that the said elections were not free and fair as they were characterized by unusual activities.
