Retired soldiers seek judicial review
FOURTEEN retired Zambia Army officers have applied for leave to commence judicial review to challenge the decision of Army Commander Paul Mihova to ban them from entering any military camp in the country.
Colonel Kelvin Musonda and 13 others complained that the decision by the Army commander was irrational, unreasonable and against the rules of natural justice. The applicants alleged that the move was aimed at stopping them from pursuing their pension benefits. According to documents filed in the Lusaka High Court, Colonel Musonda and the others wondered why General Mihova allegedly took such a decision without giving reasons.
