‘Know Your Neighbour’ gaining momentum
THE training of trainers’ workshop of representatives in the ‘Know Your Neighbour’ project is progressing well, says Matero’s Kapwepwe ward 25 Councillor, Mwamba Salubusa.
Mr Salubusa told the Daily Nation yesterday that the initiative which aims to recycle waste into manure and curbing rising crime was receiving overwhelming response.
Mr Salubusa said participants spent time identifying key stakeholders in solid waste management at community level.
He expressed happiness over the move by Lusaka City Council (LCC) director of public health, Edgar Mulwanda to find time to be part of the session.
“The participants spent time identifying key stakeholders in solid waste management at community level,” he said.
Mr Salubusa expressed gratitude to HIVOS, an international NGO, for sponsoring the training of trainers’ workshop and to LCC for the support.
He thanked his Chawama ward I counterpart Leonard Sikombe for his inspiring remarks at the opening of the workshop.
He also commended the Kapwepwe Ward Development Committee and all the participants for the initiative.
