PF Govt not biased
THE early release of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) to areas perceived to be opposition strongholds is a clear testimony that President Lungu’s Government does not segregate when disbursing funds for development.
Government has released the 2018 CDF to the opposition UPND controlled Siavonga district council in the tune of K1, 600,000 for various projects in the area.
PF national youth committee member Brave Mweetwa, who is also aspiring candidate for Southern Province PF chairmanship, said the release of the CDF to Siavonga was proof that the PF Government under President Lungu was committed to take development to all parts of the country.
Mr Mweetwa, who was commenting on the release of the CDF, urged the people in all the 10 wards of Siavonga to take keen interest in the funds and ensure that they identified projects that would have positive impact on their lives and wellbeing.
He said all projects to be undertaken with CDF must not be imposed by the local authority but instead community members must be allowed to identify their own projects.
