Zambia’s CAF Envoys
Dear Editor,
IT is of great interest that the four Zambian teams in the CAF Inter- Club competitions have qualified to the second round of Africa’s most prestigious Inter-Club competi- tions.
In the CAF Champions league, Zesco United will face TP Mazembe of DR Congo after beating SONIDEP 5 -1 on aggregate while Nkana who beat Do Songo 3-1 on aggregate will face Simba FC from Tanzania.
In the confederations Cup Green Eagles beat Young Buffaloes of Eswatin kingdom 5-2 on goal ag- gregate to meet NA Hussein Dyey of Algeria while Green Buffaloes beat Al Merreikh 2-0 on aggregate to meet Club Sportif Sfaxien of Tunisia.
All loving soccer fans should sup- port our clubs for them to reach high- er heights.
The results recorded by the four Zambian clubs underscore the widely acknowledged fact that the Zambian league is among the best on the con- tinent.
As Zambians we should continue to support our local clubs in the best way possible.
We hope that the teams will contin- ue representing the country diligently and carry the Zambian flag high. MERCY MUTUNGA, Ndola .
