The problem is not with ECZ

Daily Nation Newspaper - - Readers Forum - Justin Chembe

Dear Editor,

ALLOW me to comment on the UPND delegation led by its panicking president Hakainde Hichilema (HH) which recently visited our Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to allegedly air their so-called concerns.

For me, HH behaves as if President Edgar Lungu or ECZ owes him something. Mr Lungu does NOT owe HH anything. Mr Lungu won the elections. Period.

Secondly, he still behaves as if Zambia owes him a lot just because he has lost numerous elections. NO WE DONT.

Apart from Kenneth Kaunda and Frederick Chiluba, everyone who has run for president at the big political platform has beaten HH. The problem is not ECZ but HH and UPND.

Statistics speak volumes. Levy Mwanawasa, Rupiah Banda, Michael Sata and Edgar Lungu all beat HH.

I am one person who doubted President Lungu. He did not look confident from the start.

But he has grown and become more confident. His humbleness and calmness gives him time to listen. Zambia loves him.

HH should start looking at himself seriously. He should up his game and sell his vision not that 10 Point-Wish Lis t

He must stop bringing up useless political cases in courts, which stretch our civil services legal systems, when they should be spending resources seriously on national matters such as training new graduates to become good and experienced lawyers.

The nation has 10, 000 of cases waiting for men and women rotting in prisons.

HH and other top officals at the ECZ offices
